Be sure to see (and smell!) life under the Vikings at the Jorvik Museum and train enthusiasts will love the National Railway Museum.North of the city, the Vale of York’s gently rolling countryside is the backdrop to traditional market towns like Thirsk - home to the popular World of James Herriot. "Great accommodation, home from home! Tranquillity at its best, restful holiday with plenty to do through the day before settling in to the lodge's comforts. Area, people and food are great in these parts. Can't wait to book for next year!"
