It has a great location, access to a lovely pebbly beach just 100m from the parc, perfect for looking for shellfish. Le Littoral is a lovely, lively parc that's bound to keep the whole family amused. It has a great location, access to a lovely pebbly beach just 100m from the parc, perfect for looking for shellfish. There are also popular long, sandy beaches that the Vendee region is known for, just a short, free bus ride away.

The local area around Le Littoral & Loire

The parc provides a free coach service in high season that will take you and the family to a variety of local places including the beaches. Les Sables d'Olonne, a famous west coast resort is only 10 minutes drive away. It boasts a fantastic Zoo that the children will love.

Zoo des Sables D'Olonne - Only a short distance from the enormous Atlantic beaches, the zoo at Les Sables d'olonne is the home to hundreds of animals living in a luxurious setting. Animals include Penguins, Monkeys, Otters, Lions, Tigers and Pandas.

Chateau de Talmont St Hilaire - Located on a rock, surrounded by water, the fortress of Talmont played an important part in the defense of Poitou against the invading Normans. Years later, several kings of France were made welcome along with Richard the Lion Heart during the crusade years. Nowadays you can attend medieval demonstrations during the festival period.

Oceanile - This waterpark in the heart of Noirmoutier is over 37000m and has more than 20 aquatic amusements. With slides and waves there is plenty to ensure that the whole family is entertained.

Sealand Aquarium de Noirmoutier - A good aquarium with an excellent selection of fish from around the world including warm and cold water fish plus a number of tropical aquariums

Aquarium La Rochelle - Large aquarium with fish from around the world. An array of different viewing methods from tanks, torch pools and panoramic tunnels.

Le Grand Parc - A reconstruction of an 18th century village with villagers in costume. The ruins of a 13th century chateau where you can watch a fabulous falconry display or see the vikings at war. You can spend hours wandering the grounds and gardens. The evening show is an incredible open-air night show with 850 people and 50 horsemen.

Le Velo Rail - This journey through the countryside is on a 'velo rail' which runs on old train lines. 10 kilometres of track can be explored for up to 4 hours.

Planete Sauvage - Animal Safari park where you can discover more than 2000 animals by car as you drive through over 100 hectares of park.
