Anglers are not forgotten too, they enjoy free fishing at nearby Palnure Burn together with abundant opportunites for sea and coarse fishing. This truly is the perfect setting for outdoor pursuits, the unspoilt Galloway Forest has many superb walking trails, and there are excellent mountain bike trails in Kirroughtree, with its Visitor Centre within 4 miles.The nearby area is packed with places to explore, such as sandy beaches, sheltered coves, picturesque fishing villages, castles, historic monuments and lovely gardens.Conifers has a choice of two or three bedroom Scandinavian timber lodges, some even with their very own hot tub, fantastic after a busy day out and about!

"Conifer Lodges are ideally situated and are a good base for exploring the surrounding area. The lodges are very clean, well maintained and are equipped to a high standard, a real home from home. The staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. We enjoyed our holiday very much and would recommend it to anybody."
