Camping la Croix du Vieux Pont is a tranquil parkland site with graceful poplar trees, bowing willows, vibrant cherry blossom and neat hedges. This is a fantastic site to wander around - meet the birdlife along the riverside or the friendly ducklings in the grounds of the adjacent chateau.

Description

Camping la Croix du Vieux Pont is a tranquil parkland site with graceful poplar trees, bowing willows, vibrant cherry blossom and neat hedges. This is a fantastic site to wander around – meet the birdlife along the riverside or the friendly ducklings in the grounds of the adjacent château.

At the centre of the site there are two lakes for fishing and watersports, plus a small lake complete with a sandy beach. This flat site offers a playground for children along with fun trampolines. There are first-class facilities, including a well-run restaurant with a children’s menu, high chairs and early eating times. A sunny terrace overlooks the fantastic pool complex – with a superb heated indoor pool with waterslides and a brand new lagoon style outdoor pool.

Local Area

Situated in the simple charm of the countryside, this site is just over an hour from Paris. A ten minute walk from site is the typical provincial town of Vic-sur-Aisne, the village square surrounded by bakeries, restaurants and bars. The town of Soissons, a 15 minute drive, has the nearest train station and offers many supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants.

Discover the ‘Gaulish’ world of Parc Asterix, at the theme park located on the outskirts of Paris, an hour from site. If you’re brave enough, have a go on the impressive wooden roller coaster. North east of Compiègne is the Armistice clearing, where the armistice was signed in a railway carriage on 11th November 1918 - today an interesting museum is housed in a replica carriage.

Our Canvas Maxi Tent sleeps up to 6, and is the ideal choice for a true camping holiday experience. With its unique and spacious design, it is a great opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors, but with all the creature comforts. The Maxi Tent is fully equipped with everything that you need for a great self-catering camping holiday, 21st century-style.

Spacious living area with side awning that can be rolled up (access may be restricted on some campsites), ideal for alfresco living on your camping holiday.

Double room and second twin room that can be divided by a curtain. Fully, sprung beds. Double room has wardrobe rail with captive coat hangers.
Bathroom
Our campsites all offer toilet and shower facilities, located a short walk from our tent emplacements.

Our Classic mobile homes offer all the comforts of home at a very reasonable price. A natural choice for those new to mobile home living, they have 2 bedrooms with seating in the lounge/dining area that easily converts into an extra bed. There is a fully equipped kitchen, plus shower room and separate toilet.

The roomy, open plan living area offers a comfy sofa, dining table and chairs, plus fully equipped kitchen area.

ideal for early or late summer holidays.
