"We stayed in the 6 birth Lodge (number 1)at Ashby Woulds. It was absolutely amazing, all mod cons that you need dish washer, sky Tv etc. Bungalows are exclusively designed and spotless, so cosy. The staff are absolutely wonderful, so very kind and so helpful and friendly, you'd think we had known them all our lives. Couldn't do enough for us. The lodges are in a idilic spot if you want peace and quiet and it is a nice walk along the river where you can view the large carp or hire the boat if you want to.Places around worth seeing are Matlock and The Heights of Abraham the views are breath taking, Conkers not far from the site, plenty of all day entertainment if you have children. Willington Marina house boats and lovely pub for lunch, Buxton, Ashby De-La Zouch the town itself is lovely to have a look around, we had a fab meal in the Ask Restaurant there. We stopped at Chesterfield on the way to Ashby, the market is well worth visiting and you must see the twisted spiral on the church if you travel that way, it is a fabulous place lots going on there. Plenty of Supermarkets just a drive away from the lodges. The Staff are always available for any directions or help you may need, nothing was a bother to them. I can't wait to go back,it was home from home, we were sad to leave. Last but not least the hot tub is amazing and a added bonus to your holiday to totally chillaxing it was cleaned every morning too. I give the staff who work very hard to keep the standards high and the location of the site 5 stars *****. Thank you for a great holiday. "
