The landscape that inspired the Bronte sisters is classic walking country, crossed by the Pennine Way, and featuring spectacular waterfalls and dramatic geological formations like the famous Brimham Rocks and Malham Cove, whose 300 ft high cliff walls are truly awe-inspiring. "Todber and the surrounding area is very relaxing. Barnoldswick is a gem of a town, where there are lots of individual shops and a wonderful cafe. Walking is not so strenuous as in the 'Lakes' but lots of opportunities to explore, from the Canal to Hills."

"This location is strategically placed for walking/touring the Dales and Lancs, with many wee villages and market towns tucked away from the main roads. We went off season so although the weather was "dreich" the area was quiet and you could traverse country lanes unimpeded. Great area to go for peace and quiet, good local produce in a miniature "escape to the country". Ingleton waterfall walk and White Scar cave were the highlights."
