Local Area
Taking a break in the Isle of Wight is the perfect way to enjoy this beautiful island’s family friendly resorts, lovely safe beaches and exciting leisure facilities.
As you’d expect from an island with 60 miles of beautiful, unspoilt coastline and famously sunny weather, you’ll find an excellent range of water sports and other thrilling activities.
The Isle of Wight is a favourite with sailors and deep sea anglers, but you can also try your hand at windsufing, jet skiing, sailplane flying and hang gliding. And the Blackgang Chine Fantasy Park or breathtaking chairlift rides at Needles Park offer plenty of adrenaline boosting fun.
Explore the island’s amazing prehistoric legacy at the Dinosaur Farm and Dinosaur Isle Museum or search out living wildlife at the zoo and at Parkhurst Forest, one of the few remaining habitats of the British red squirrel.
There’s lovely coastal and country walking and cycling too – the more energetic might like to follow the round island route.

| With Landguard being a smaller park, and the fact there were no cars parked outside the caravans made us feel safe enough to allow our 3 year old daughter to go to the play area with her older brothers and sister. The staff where all friendly and helpful, and made the on-site experience a pleasure. |

| I would recomend this holiday to all families because of the friendly, clean and relaxed atmosphere of the park. We have enjoyed coming here for two years and plan to continue doing so having tried other locations near Bournemouth. It's close enough to all the pleasures of Bournemouth without being stuck in the noise and traffic of more central locations. |

| The location was great, near to Shanklin and Sandown. There are lots of restaurants in Shanklin - about a 20 minute walk to town and the beach. |

| No cars allowed on site so all luggage etc. had to be carried to caravan. No trollies/carts available to assist. When this was mentioned to reception I was told I should have asked for a caravan near the carpark. Brochure did not have info. about the parking situation.
No hot water at the pool showers |
